1. What This Website Is

Greeley County Criminal History is a privately run reference resource, independent of every government office. It does not keep official criminal records, submit filings, retrieve certified documents, or perform an official background check for a visitor.

Its role is to identify the public offices and systems that maintain Greeley County material, including the county sheriff, Nebraska trial courts, the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. The website may also display third-party research tools. Access to source records remains governed by the Nebraska Public Records Act, court-access rules, and applicable criminal-history restrictions.

The warning is especially important for Nebraska Sex Offender Registry information. Nebraska law controls public disclosure, and the registry expressly forbids using its data to threaten, intimidate, or harass registrants or their families. Registry information supports public safety awareness. It does not authorize vigilantism, workplace blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, every remaining provision continues in effect. The affected language will be narrowed only as far as necessary to make it enforceable.
